The short version

We collect what we need to send you your order and make the experience work. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with anyone who doesn't need it. And you can ask us to delete everything we have about you at any time.

What we collect and why

When you shop at Patoosko, we collect some information to make your order happen:

  • Name and address — so we know where to send your order
  • Email address — to confirm your order and keep you updated on delivery
  • Payment information — processed securely by our payment providers (Shopify Payments, Stripe, PayPal). We never see or store your full card details.
  • Order history — so we can help you if something goes wrong
  • IP address and browsing behaviour — via cookies, to understand how people use our site and improve it over time

We only collect what we actually need. Nothing else.

How we use your data

  • To process and deliver your order
  • To answer your questions and resolve any issues
  • To make our website better
  • To detect and prevent fraud
  • To send you marketing emails — only if you've explicitly opted in, and you can opt out any time with one click

The legal basis (GDPR)

We process your data based on:

  • Contract — to fulfil your order
  • Legal obligations — tax records, compliance
  • Legitimate interest — fraud prevention and improving our service
  • Consent — for any marketing communications

Who we share your data with

Only the people who need it to get your order to you:

  • Shopify — our e-commerce platform
  • Payment providers — Stripe, PayPal, and others depending on your payment method
  • Shipping partners — to deliver your order
  • Analytics tools — if and when we use them, in anonymised form where possible

We never sell your data. Full stop.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as legally required for tax and operational purposes — and no longer. When it's no longer needed, it's deleted.

Your rights

You're in control of your data. You can ask us to:

  • Show you what we hold about you
  • Correct anything that's wrong
  • Delete everything (right to be forgotten)
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent for marketing at any time
