It started with a very anxious dog.

Ace

A few years ago, we adopted a rescue dog named Ace.

He was sweet, gentle, and completely overwhelmed by the world.

He'd pace. He'd whine. He'd chew things he shouldn't. Every thunderstorm was a crisis. Every time we left the house, he'd spiral.

We tried everything the internet suggested. Expensive calming sprays. Anxiety wraps. Supplements that promised miracles. Most of it did nothing. Some of it made things marginally better for about a day.

What actually helped? A lick mat with peanut butter. A slow feeder that made mealtimes last more than 45 seconds. A water fountain that got him drinking properly for the first time.

Simple things. Embarrassingly simple, actually.

That's when we notice the problem

Most pet products are either overpriced, over complicated, or just don't do what they claim. The ones that actually work — the simple, honest ones — were buried under pages of gimmicks and marketing noise.

We built Patoosko to fix that.

Not a store that sells everything for every animal. A carefully chosen collection of products that we'd actually use ourselves — chosen because they work, explained honestly, and shipped to your door without the nonsense.

What Patoosko means

The name started as a bit of a joke — a made-up word that felt playful and warm, like the sound you make when you see a dog doing something ridiculous. It stuck. And somehow it felt right for a brand that doesn't take itself too seriously, but takes your pet's wellbeing very seriously indeed.

What we believe

We believe pet wellness doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. We believe the best products are the ones you can explain in one sentence. And we believe that a dog who eats calmly, drinks enough water, and has something to keep their brain busy is a happier dog — which means a happier owner.

That's all this is, really.
